Glomus Tumor

A Glomus tumor is a rare benign growth mainly found under the nails; either in the hands or feet. Glomus tumors are formed when blood vessels connect from the small arteries to the small veins. These lesions may be extremely painful. Surgical excision of the small tumor is often favored for treatment. Recurrence after surgical excision can happen approximately 20% of the time.
