Summer, Time for Fun and Success – Part 6

A review of Napoleon Hills “Keys to Success: The 17 Principles of Personal Achievement”.

Personal InitiativeThis is # 6.

6) “Create Personal Initiative” Personal Initiative is the power that starts all action. “Personal initiative is the underlying foundation of everyone who achieves significance. The minute you have the drive and passion to think and act on your own, there’s no limit to what you can accomplish.” We have all known people with no drive. No ambition. They are never at the top of any profession. They are not even anywhere near the top. They are lucky to have a job at all of any kind.

When we find our Definiteness of Purpose, then dig in and go for it, you will be surprised at what you can accomplish. You may find that you are the only one in your family or circle of friends that has learned to speak a new language or graduated from college or started and runs a successful company or owns a patent. You can do it but you have to start from where you are and move toward your goal. I can tell you this – as you start moving toward your goals you will make new friends because they will be drawn to you. Your actions will be aligned with other people of success and this will be a natural step on your journey upward.

I will follow with the next principle in a day or so. I hope that you enjoy this and benefit from it.
